About this webinar recording
This webinar is Supported by an unrestricted educational grant from Paion. The agenda and speakers are organised and selected by the Association of Anaesthetists.
Sedation is a medical art that must be taught, learnt and practiced. Good sedation in the hands of an expert makes as much difference as a pinch of salt in the hands of a culinary expert. There are many surgical and medical procedures that are done around the world under sedation, and this is an ever-evolving field. It may offer greater safety in certain situations than general anaesthesia. With recent advances made in pharmacology, sedation has come back into greater focus. it is possible now, to do more procedures safely and quickly using sedation rather than general anaesthesia. Sedation for Surgery may help better theatre list utilisation and can have cost savings.
This Association of Anaesthetists webinar looks at new sedation practices and theatre set up where this may be applied. Experts share their practices and would then answer questions that delegates may have.
