About
The Association of Anaesthetists have given out various honours and awards to British and Irish anaesthetists since the Association’s foundation in 1932. Discover their significance and hear from Dr Ian Roberts, a recent recipient of the Pask award, given to those who have ‘rendered distinguished service, either with gallantry in the performance of their clinical duties, in a single meritorious act, or consistently and faithfully over a long period’.
Dr Ian Roberts will talk about his role as FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile) medical representative, his heroic actions in rescuing Romain Grosjean from a crash and fire at the Bahrain Formula 1 Grand Prix in 2020 leading to his nomination for the Pask award, and what the award means to him professionally and personally.
